Two artists will feature new work in “Intuitive Evolution” April 2 to 28, 2019 at the Artists’ Cooperative Gallery, 405 S. 11th St. in Omaha. April feature Artists Glenda Larson Musilek and Dottie Seymour will host a First Friday opening reception 6 p.m. – 9 p.m., April 5, 2018.
Glenda Larson Musilek has been creating a body of abstract paintings and venturing into mixed media created sculptures. Intuition is a driving force in Glenda’s creative adventure with abstract painting and she lets it take her in unplanned directions. With the sculptures, she starts with a concept in mind and exercises some control over the final piece.
Dottie Seymour will be showing abstract in cold wax and oil on both cradled wooden panels as well as paper. The result is a culmination of layers of color to build up the image. Because she enjoy so many mediums and forms of expression previous medium have been watercolor, mixed, paper making, masks to name a few. She’s always growing and experimenting, hence the theme for this show “Intuitive Evolution”. Growth is her inspiration.
